5 Days Marrakech to Fez Desert Tour Option:
Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Benhaddou village

-Morning departure from Marrakech at 8 a.m. Drive via the Tichka Pass on your way to Ouarzazate (2260m above sea level). The first photo stop will be at Tichka, where you will be enjoy to stunning views of Berber villages nestled beneath the Atlas Mountains. Continue to the Ait ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
-After breakfast, we go to Ouarzazate to visit the movie studios and the Kasbah Taourirte, the house of the Pasha of Marrakech and a symbol of the Atlas kings. After going through the skoura oasis and the rose valley, visit the Dades gorges. Spend the night at a hotel or a Kasbah in the gorge.
- We travel to Todra Gorges after breakfast at the hotel, a massive fault that rises to 200 meters in a tiny valley filled with palm palms and Berber settlements. We had lunch in the gorge. Travel deeper into the Sahara to Merzouga, which is located on the fringes of the Erg Chebbi sand dunes and features Morocco's largest natural underground pool of water. Stay at a hotel in Merzouga for supper and the night.
Drive to the Khamlia village after a leisurely breakfast and a visit to the Merzouga oasis. These people were originally brought north as slaves from Sudan. You'll meet several families and have mint tea while listening to traditional Gnaoua music with them. The next stop will be Mfis, a small village to the south-east of the dunes, close to the coal and copper mines where most Merzouga residents used to work. We'll stop in Merdane village before continuing on to meet Berber families and checking into your hotel in Merzouga. In the afternoon, you'll mount your camel and cross the dunes, uncovering one of the'sea of sand's secrets. We'll make a pit break in a pristine paradise. Enjoy the desert solitude, take in the natural beauty that surrounds you, and enjoy the magnificent sunset. Spend the evening under a blanket of stars that twinkle with a brightness you've never seen before. Spend the night in a Berber camp.
-Depart for Rissani after breakfast in the desert, where we will see the typical Berber suq and the ruined Kasbah of Sijilmassa. We drive through the Ziz Valley and Errachidia after leaving Rissani. Before arriving in Azrou, we'll stop for lunch in the roadside cedar forest, which is home to a troupe of Barbary apes.
