1 Day Trip To Ourika Valley From Marrakech to Ourika Valley and Setti fatma Waterfull After breakfast, head to the high Ourika Valley in the Atlas Mountains for a trek to Setifatma Waterful and cross the traditional Amazigh village. Lunch at the Berber restaurant near the river. In the evening, I will return to my hotel in Marrakech.

The Ourika Valley and Setti Fatma Waterfall are located in the High Atlas Mountains near Marrakech, Morocco. Here’s a description of what you can expect when visiting these beautiful natural attractions:

Ourika Valley:

The Ourika Valley is a picturesque and lush valley known for its stunning landscapes, traditional Berber villages, and flowing rivers. The valley is famous for its vibrant greenery, particularly in the spring when the almond and cherry blossoms bloom.

You’ll have the opportunity to explore the local villages, interact with the friendly Berber people, and learn about their traditional way of life. The villages are known for their distinctive mud-brick houses and terraced gardens. You may also visit a local market where you can find traditional handicrafts, spices, and fresh produce.

Setti Fatma Waterfall:

One of the highlights of the Ourika Valley is the Setti Fatma Waterfall, located near the village of Setti Fatma. This series of cascading waterfalls is a popular destination for hikers and nature lovers. The hike to the waterfalls is relatively moderate, but it does require some physical fitness.

As you make your way up the trail, you’ll pass through beautiful landscapes, including lush green valleys, rocky cliffs, and clear mountain streams. Along the way, you’ll encounter the seven tiers of the Setti Fatma Waterfall, each offering its own unique beauty. The falls are named after a local saint, and legend has it that they possess healing powers.

At the top of the falls, you can relax and enjoy the refreshing spray of the water while taking in the breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. There are also small cafes and restaurants where you can stop for a meal or refreshments.

1 Day Trip To Ourika Valley From Marrakech
Our Ourika Valley day trip begins at 9am from your accommodation in Marrakech. After a short drive from Marrakech to the Atlas Mountains. Follow the road along the valley of Ourika and roam the hillsides to see the spectacular scenery of vibrant colors. The first stop is the traditional Amazigh house in the valley. The family serves us tea and a local breakfast consisting of bread, honey, butter and olive oil. Another destination is the Women's Argan Oil Cooperative. Argan nuts are unique to Morocco, and the Moroccans have long known the great advantage that the oil extracted from these nuts can be used daily in either cooking or cosmetics. Then continue your tour and visit to Setti Fatma, which is acclaimed for its seven beautiful waterfalls, beautiful cliffs and green valleys. Walk around the valley, take pictures of the green terraces surrounding the Atlas Mountains, and hike to the first waterfall with a local guide. After the hike, return to lunch at a lovely restaurant with beautiful views of the mountains. Lunch consists of a variety of Moroccan dishes (vegetarians are also welcome). After that, I will return to Marrakech around 5 pm.
