Day 1: Marrakech / Ait Benhaddou / Draa Valley / Mhamid

At 7.30 a.m., your driver will take you up from your Marrakech lodging. We go across the High Atlas Highlands through the Tichka Pass (2260 m), Morocco's highest road pass, which offers amazing panoramic views of the mountains and valleys while meandering through the mountains. Along the trip, take in the magnificent scenery with a variety of colors and the Berber settlements. Along the trip, we'll stop at numerous kasbahs, including Tamnougalt and Ait Benhaddou. Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site from the 16th century, is one of Morocco's best-preserved and most beautiful kasbahs. A popular filming location in Hollywood, Ait Benhaddou was included in the blockbuster film Gladiator. The journey continues along the Draa river valley, which is dotted with palm trees. In Zagora, we made a quick pit break for a cup of Moroccan tea. After that, we carry on to Mhamid, the Sahara desert's entrance. Overnight stay at the beautiful Hotel Kasbah Sahara Services in Mhamid, including half-board.

Day 2: Mhamid / Sacred Oasis / Erg Chegaga sand dunes

After breakfast, you travel into the Sahara desert on the back of a saddled camel. Two hours of riding followed by a lunch break in M'hamid. From there, we go by 4x4 across the magnificent desert scenery, stopping at a holy oasis to sip a berber sahara tea. We arrive to Erg Chegaga's sand dunes, the region's largest collection of dunes, with a height of 300 meters and a length of 40 kilometers. At our Sahara Services Standard Camp, Erg Chegaga, we provide entertainment as well as overnight accommodations with half-board.

Day 3: Chegaga sand dunes / Foum Zguid / Taznakht / Marrakech

Enjoy the sunrise over the sand dunes in the morning, followed by a delicious breakfast at the camp. We'll take a 4x4 car from our camp and travel along the historic Paris-Dakar road, crossing the Iriqui Lake on our way to Foum Zguid. Lunch will be provided at Taznakht, a Berber hamlet. We'll return to the red city of Marrakech in the evening.
